Oben Electric has launched the EZ electric motorcycle, the latest addition to the Rorr range in India. Priced starting at Rs 89,999 (introductory, ex-showroom), the new Oben Rore EZ (pronounced "Easy") combines "effortless handling, eye-catching aesthetics and high-performance technology". It comes in three battery variants - 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh. The battery is a "high performance" LFP (lithium iron phosphate) unit known for its 50% higher temperature resistance and 2x longer service life. While all battery models have a top speed of 95km/h and a 0-40km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds (claimed), their ranges vary. The base EZ 2.6kWh has a claimed range of 110km, while the 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh offer 140km and 175km respectively. All are IDC data. However, the 10bhp/52Nm electric motor and three drive modes (Eco, City and Havoc) remain unchanged.
