FCA Canada files lawsuit over two battery fire recalls of Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe SUVs December 19, 2024 — Explosive battery hazards in the Jeep 4xe have prompted a class-action lawsuit in Canada following the recall of 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV. The FCA Canada class action lawsuit includes everyone in Canada who owns, owns, leases, leases and/or uses a 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe or a 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. Fiat Chrysler Canada has issued two recalls for Jeep 4xe vehicles because the batteries used in these vehicles may be affected by diaphragm damage. The plaintiff claimed that the battery could explode even if the vehicle was parked.
