Volvo EX30 shipped to India receives European five-star safety rating

The EX30, Volvo's smallest electric car, received a 5-star safety rating in the latest round of Euro NCAP crash testing. While the Swedish carmaker has yet to make an official announcement, the EX30 is expected to hit our market next year. In the adult occupant protection category, it scored 35.3 points, or 88%. In the front deformable barrier test, the EX30 provided minimal protection for front-seat occupants' thighs, but other body areas were generally well protected, ranging from good to adequate. Full-width frontal hard-obstacle testing demonstrated strong protection for front-seat passengers. However, the level of chest protection for rear seat passengers was limited as the dummy showed high compression levels during the evaluation.
