Volkswagen Tayron 7-seater SUV unveiled – sold to India
The new Volkswagen Talon SUV has been unveiled in the European market and will make its public debut at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. Globally, the Tayron will replace the Tiguan AllSpace, offering a roomier interior and advanced technology. This new Volkswagen SUV is 260 mm longer than the new Tiguan, with a wheelbase that is 111 mm longer, with an overall length of 4,770 mm and a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. The Tayron's larger cabin accommodates an extra row of seats and provides an additional 198 liters of luggage space. Globally, the Talon SUV will be available with four engine options: petrol, mild hybrid petrol, petrol plug-in hybrid and diesel. Detailed specifications have yet to be released, but the automaker has confirmed that the entry-level eTSI mild hybrid will produce 148 horsepower. The Talon is larger than the European Tiguan, resulting in a roomier cabin with room for three rows of seats Volkswagen has taken the wraps off the global version of the Talon, giving us a preview of the upcoming US-spec Tiguan. The new model is positioned in the European mid-size SUV segment and replaces the discontinued Tiguan Allspace. Compared to the EU-spec Tiguan, it has a longer and redesigned body, offers a larger boot and a seven-seat layout. At 4,770 mm (187.8 inches) long, the new Tayron is 231 mm (9.1 inches) longer than the EU-spec Tiguan and 108 mm (4.3 inches) shorter than the Touareg. The wheelbase has been extended by 110 mm (4.3 in) to 2,791 mm (109.9 in), while the rear overhang is significantly longer. This is the next generation Volkswagen Tiguan AllspaceA new document from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) reveals what may be called Volkswagen Tayron In markets such as Australia. Images of the new SUV have appeared in a Chinese database entry, where it will be badged as the Tayron L. Despite the different name, the Tayron L basically looks like a stretched version of the new-generation Tiguan. There are subtle styling differences in terms of bumper detailing and rear badging placement - the Tayron L lettering sits directly below the rear light bar, rather than on the lower tailgate as on the new Tiguan - but this can largely be attributed to regional differences, as the Tayron L will be built in China for Chinese customers.
