August 27, 2024 — The 2023-2024 Toyota Sequoia recall affects approximately 45,300 Sequoia SUVs in the United States and approximately 1,412 Sequoia SUVs in Canada. The Toyota Sequoia resin trailer hitch cover may detach from the rear bumper while driving, posing a road hazard. SUV owners will receive a letter from Toyota requiring the removal of the resin trailer hitch cover until dealers replace the cover with an improved version.
