TVS Motor’s total sales volume increased by 8% year-on-year in 2019

TVS Motor Company reported a year-on-year growth of 7% in December 2024, with total sales of 3.22 lakh units. Two-wheelers made a significant contribution, with total sales of 312,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 8%. Domestic sales were 215,000 vehicles and overseas sales were 96,927 vehicles, an increase of 0.4% and 29.11% respectively. Motorcycle sales dropped to 2.19%, while scooter sales increased by an impressive 30%. Electric scooters also achieved a staggering 79% growth. In the third quarter of FY24-25, the company sold 1.18 million two-wheelers, an impressive growth of 11%. Sales of electric two-wheelers increased by 57%, with 76,000 units sold. In comparison, the sales volume of three-wheeled vehicles was 29,000 units, a decrease of 23.68%. TVS launched the 2025 Ronin on the last day of the two-day motorcycle festival in Goa. The standout update is the addition of dual-channel ABS, which provides improved braking performance, enhanced control and stability in a variety of road conditions, ensuring safety without sacrificing the excitement of riding. However, it should be noted that this feature is only available on mid-size models. Additionally, the 2025 Ronin now comes in two new color options – Glacier Silver and Charcoal Ash – replacing the previous Delta Blue and Starry Black. These new shades provide a fresh and modern look that enhances the visual appeal of the midsize model. The Charcoal Ash hue features bold blue accents on the tank, side panels, and tail, while the Glacier Silver colorway is highlighted with orange stripes on the tank and side panels. TVS Ronin Festive Edition launched in India at Rs 1.73 lakh

Ahead of the festive season, TVS Motor Company has introduced a new colour for the top-of-the-line TD version of the Ronin. It is called Midnight Blue and is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom India). The new Midnight Blue colour features a contrasting fluorescent green stripe running from the fuel tank to the side panels. It also gets a black windscreen above the LED headlight. Apart from this, the motorcycle remains unchanged. The TVS Ronin Midnight Blue (or the Festival Edition) is still powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled/oil-cooled engine that produces 20bhp and 19.9Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and is assisted by a slip-assist clutch. The motorcycle uses a gold inverted front fork and a rear monoshock. TVS has joined the ranks of automakers rolling out attractive offers and price cuts ahead of the festive season. The automaker has introduced a new drum brake model and reduced the price of the Raider 125 by Rs 11,000. Following this, the company has reduced the price of the Ronin by Rs 15,000. However, the price cut is only applicable to the base variant (SS), which now retails for Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
