The UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) said in a press release that it had imposed sanctions on "Russian chemical and biological defense (CBR) forces and their commanders... over the deployment of barbaric chemical weapons in Ukraine". Home > information > State Department reaches $3 million export violation settlement with Oregon company The U.S. Department of State has reached a $3 million administrative settlement with Oregon-based Precision Castparts Corp ("PCC") to resolve multiple allegations of violations of export control regulations. The agreement involves 24 alleged violations of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), 22 USC § 2751 et seq., and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR"), 22 CFR Parts 120-130. Toyota admits more violations in safety testing, suspends
The company used a non-production navigation unit in occupant safety testing of its minivans. Toyota Motor Corp. found irregularities during type-approval testing of seven additional vehicle models. Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism forced the company to suspend production of two small vans sold in the local market. Toyota Motor admitted in an official statement that in addition to a number of previous safety tests on production models of Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Suzuki, seven other models had violations during the tests. Following an earlier announcement in June 2024, an on-site investigation by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) found additional irregularities in Toyota's operations.
