The customization and restoration work was completed in Brazil, with highlights including a complete rebuild of the original 1500cc 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The exterior is finished in fresh two-tone Volkswagen Lotus White and Diamond Blue paint, and features original side mirrors, headlight grilles and a retractable canvas sunroof. The custom interior is also two-tone, but in beige. This space is designed for ultimate refrigeration, complete with refrigerator, stove, and sink. The seats have been restored with new foam and springs, and are upholstered in high-quality synthetic leather and fabric. It sold for $33,000 at Barrett-Jackson's 2024 Palm Beach auction.
