Chevrolet Volt Battery Energy Control Module Failure
The government shut down an investigation into the failed Volt Becm after GM issued a warranty extension. March 5, 2025 - A failure of the Chevrolet Volt battery energy control module caused the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to open an investigation in November 2023 after the agency received at least 61 complaints.
