The class action lawsuit alleges cracks and chipping in the windshields of 2020-2022 Land Rover Defenders. July 20, 2024 — A Land Rover Defender windscreen recall is allegedly needed because the glass is cracking due to a defect, costing drivers a lot of money to repair. According to the class action lawsuit, the 2020-2022 Land Rover Defender windshield recall was long overdue, but Land Rover is forcing owners to pay up to $2,000 to replace the glass. Additionally, Defender customers will have to shoulder the costs even if the vehicle is still under warranty. The windshields are said to chip, crack or break from the smallest stone impact. Defender customers have also complained that the windshields can crack even when they have not been hit. Land Rover allegedly knew about the need to recall Defender windshields since 2019 but concealed this information from consumers.
