Want to own Ken Block’s old Subaru WRX STI rally car?
The car was used in the production World Rally Championship. After driving the car, Bullock and Pastrana competed in Rally America. The car's 2.5-liter engine has been modified and fitted with new suspension and brakes. It's not often that legitimate rally cars come up for auction, but that's what we have here. Not only was this 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI used in multiple races, but it was also driven by two of America's most famous rally drivers, Ken Block and Travis Pastrana. var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== "DESKTOP"){ adpushup.triggerAd("0f7e3106 -c4d6-4db4-8135-c508879a76f8"); } else { adpushup.triggerAd("82503191-e1d1-435a-874f-9c78a2a54a2f"); This very special WRX STI was built by Vermont SportsCar and used by Block and Pastrana in the production World Rally Championship from 2007 to 2008. Subaru discontinues entry-level WRX, raises prices for 2025
The new WRX tS starts at $45,705, the same cost price as the WRX GT November 27, 2024 15:49 Subaru has launched the 2025 WRX with a more streamlined lineup, now starting at $35,750. The Base model has been axed, and the TR model has been replaced by the more expensive tS model. The 2025 WRX will arrive in U.S. dealers early next year with a 271-horsepower turbocharged engine. If you're in the market for a Subaru WRX, be prepared to spend more, as the company has canceled the base model for 2025. That means the cost of entry jumps from $32,735 to $35,750, and that doesn't include destination charges. It has risen $50 to $1,170. Consumers were effectively hit with a double whammy, as in addition to eliminating the base model, Subaru also raised the price of the WRX Premium. The entry-level version now starts at $35,750, up from $34,635. That's an increase of $1,115, and that doesn't include…

Australia’s 10 cheapest cars
There was a time when sedans dominated the Australian new car market, led by the iconic Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon. However, those days are long gone. In 2024, SUVs and pickup trucks will rule showrooms and streets, while the humble sedan has become an endangered species. With four doors, a relatively large trunk and sleeker styling than a station wagon or SUV (let alone a Pitt), there's still a lot to be said for the sedan body style. This is especially true when you consider that you can own a bunch of sedans for less than $30,000. In addition, electric vehicles (EVs) and legendary performance models also feature in Australia's top 10 cheapest new sedans. Hundreds of new car deals are now available through CarExpert. Get the experts on your side and get big rewards. Browse now. Some manufacturers list drive-by prices nationwide, while others list prices excluding on-road costs. However, for the sake of consistency, this listing is…

More Subaru WRX buyers opt for manual transmission than Porsche GT3
Honestly, we're surprised WRX owners choose the available CVT option go through Brad Anderson 12 hours ago The Subaru WRX's manual driving rate even exceeds that of the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring. Toyota recently said it believed 80 percent of U.S. GR Corolla buyers would choose the manual transmission. Subaru revealed the news on the recently launched WRX tS. Subaru hasn't yet given the world a new WRX STI that tuner fans have been craving, but we now know that regular WRX buyers love to drive themselves. If Subaru needs more convincing that the enthusiast market will appreciate the new STI, the manual WRX's sales figures should do the trick. During the recent launch of the tweaked WRX tS in the United States, Subaru revealed that an impressive 83 percent of all WRX buyers this year opted for the 6-speed manual transmission. That leaves just 17 percent of buyers opting for the much-maligned continuously variable transmission option. Read: What do…

Subaru WRX without seat belt nearly fell off cliff
A Subaru WRX fell from the back of a flatbed while driving on a remote mountain road. It is unclear whether the rally car suffered any mechanical damage after the fall. The car nearly fell off the edge of a cliff when the accident occurred. One might think that the most obvious and basic thing to do when transporting a car on a flatbed is to secure it securely. If you don’t, a simple shipping job can turn into a disaster waiting to happen. However, for some reason, not everyone seems to follow the most basic rules. A flatbed driver's negligence or forgetfulness nearly caused disaster for a Subaru WRX rally car. var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== "DESKTOP"){ adpushup.triggerAd("4d84e4c9 -9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a"); } else{ adpushup.triggerAd(" 6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657"); } }); The video, although short, was recently shared on social media and shows a flatbed truck transporting a modified WRX on a mountain road.
