Avinya’s vehicle has a higher and polished look than the existing steering wheel seen by Tata cars
With the growth of electrification, Tata Electric will introduce multiple new electric vehicles in the coming years. At the 2025 Bharat Expo, the company presented three of its upcoming EVS – Harrier EV, Sierra EV and Avinya Concept. Tata is now patented for the steering wheel with the Avinya EV.
Tata Avinya steering wheel patent
For several cars from the Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Harrier and Safari, the Tata has used an amazing design for the steering wheel. It has a illuminated tower logo in the center. One used with Avinya has a familiar two-spoke design, but has several unique features. For example, the center of the steering wheel gets the “Avinya” badge instead of the Tata logo. Avinya will be one of the best electric cars from Tata Motors. Therefore, it must emphasize its own brand identity.

The existing Tata Cars have a glossy black finish in the steering wheel center pad, but Avinya uses a leather-wrapped center pad. Various corners and surfaces have a smooth, polished look that further enhances the overall look. The Avinya’s steering wheel has a variety of touch-based controls that allow seamless access to car features. On the left, the user will be able to access controls for calls and music. On the right, the steering wheel will provide dedicated tags for ADA and cruise control. The steering wheel is expected to be available in a two-tone finish.
With the two-spoke design of the steering wheel, Avinya users can clearly see the instrument screen. This can improve overall convenience and security. Earlier, images of the Avinya concept also revealed the stem on the left side of the steering wheel to control gear movement. The new steering wheel has a minimalist and futuristic atmosphere, which complements the overall aesthetic of the Avinya cabin space.

Tata Avinya – Main features
Based on the concept image, Avinya is by far one of the most fascinating Tata cars. Some key features include T-shaped full-width LED strips at the front and rear, closed grille and smooth LED headlights and DRL. The side profile features flush door handles, blackened posts, door side molding and sport alloy wheels with an aerodynamic design. At the rear, the Avinya has a tapered roofline, a sharp fin antenna and a resurfaced windshield.

Inside, the dashboard has a T-shaped full-width light illumination rod and a horizontally placed AC vent. All controls are touch-based to ensure clutter-free contours. There is a large standalone touchscreen infotainment system that can be over 12 inches. Avinya features ambient lighting, comfortable seating and comprehensive quality features.
While Tata has not disclosed any specifications about Avinya, its range may exceed 500 km. Both RWD and AWD variants are available. Tata Avinya is expected to be launched in 2026.
