With its distinctive look that reflects the brand’s signature aesthetic, Tata Motors’ Curvv EV has been a buzz since its entry into the Indian market. The coupe-SUV sports a striking grille and sleek LED headlights for a futuristic look. It is currently the company’s most expensive passenger electric vehicle in India, and it is likely to remain so until the Harrier EV debuts in early 2025. Notably, the Tata model is now open for bookings. In this article, we compare the recently launched Curvv EV with the Nexon EV to see how they differ in terms of size, interior features, and mechanical core.

Tata Curvv EV vs Nexon EV Specifications Comparison: Price
The Tata Curvv EV price range is Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh. Whereas, the Tata Nexon EV is priced between Rs 14.49 lakh to Rs 19.29 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The Curvv EV and Nexon EV are priced similarly. If you want to take one home, the mid-range Curvv EV is priced similarly to the top-of-the-line Nexon EV model.
Tata Curvv EV vs Nexon EV Specifications Comparison: Dimensions
Although the Tata Curvv EV and Nexon EV share some commonalities in terms of design, their dimensions are quite different. The Curvv EV has a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, a length of 4,308 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, and a height of 1,630 mm. In comparison, the Nexon EV has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm, a length of 3,995 mm, a width of 1,804 mm, and a height of 1,620 mm.
Apart from this, the Curvv EV has bigger wheel sizes (17-inch and 18-inch) than the Nexon (16-inch). The Nexon EV gets normal door handles, while the Curvv EV gets flush door handles – a first for Tata Motors.
Tata Curvv EV vs Nexon EV Specifications Comparison: Mechanical Setup
The Tata Curvv EV is available in 45kWh and 55kWh battery pack configurations. Both battery pack configurations include a 165bhp electric motor. The 45kWh battery pack type offers a range of 425km on a full charge, while the Curvv EV with the 55kWh battery pack offers a certified range of up to 585km on a single charge. The actual range of the two models is 502km and 350km respectively. According to Tata Motors, the Curvv EV can be fully charged in just 15 minutes and can travel 150km. To maximize the range, the Curvv EV is also equipped with level 4 regenerative braking. Tata Motors further claims that the Curvv EV has a top speed of 160km/h and accelerates from standstill to 100km/h in just 8.6 seconds. Moreover, the company claims that the Curvv EV is 30% better than its competitors in terms of driving acceleration.
On the other hand, the Nexon EV has two different battery pack options: 30kWh battery pack and 40.5kWh battery pack. Also, it has two different motor configurations. The 30kWh battery pack version comes with a 127bhp motor, while the 40.5kWh battery pack version comes with a 142bhp motor. The torque output is 215Nm. Depending on the variant, the electric compact SUV is claimed to have a range between 325 and 465 kms. The Nexon EV has both V2L and V2V charging systems, just like the Curvv EV.

Tata Curvv EV vs Nexon EV Specifications Comparison: Interiors and Features
The Curvv EV has a sleek and minimalist dashboard with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre with the latest connectivity features. The coupe comes with an electric tailgate, wireless charging, electric parking brake, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, new key and engine start-stop button.
Apart from this, the Curvv also comes with a voice-controlled panoramic sunroof, while the Nexon gets an electronic single-pane sunroof. The four-spoke steering wheel of the Curvv EV is reminiscent of the Harrier’s and is likely to catch your eye as soon as you enter the cabin, while the Nexon EV’s steering wheel is a dual-spoke one.
Features on the Nexon include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument panel, cruise control, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, Google and Alexa voice assistants, a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen (top-spec version), and a nine-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer.
In terms of safety, the Curvv EV comes with Level 2 ADAS with 20 functions, while the Nexon EV does not. The latter comes with an electronic tailgate, while the former is equipped with the same features but with gesture control.
