Tata Motors has started selling its internal combustion engine powered Curvv in India recently at a price of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV Coupe is available in four trim levels (Intelligent, Pure, Creative and Achiever) and three different powertrain options. It gets a Harrier style chrome grille, LED DRL strip with welcome and farewell features, vertically placed headlamps and fog lamps, front bumper mounted parking sensors, cameras, flush door handles, 18-inch dual tone alloy wheels, linked tail lamps, chrome Curvv logo, raised boot lid and rear bumper with silver faux skid plate. Tata Curvv: Powertrain
The 1.2-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine (Hyperion), 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine (Revotron) and 1.5-litre diesel engine are the three engine options for the Curvv ICE. The Hyperion is new to the range and produces 123bhp of power at 5,000rpm and 225Nm of torque between 1,700 and 3,500rpm. The remaining two engines are already available in the Nexon with power and torque outputs of 118bhp and 170Nm (turbocharged petrol) and 116bhp and 260Nm (diesel). While a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is optional, all three engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Tata Curvv: Features
The interiors of the Curvv are comparable to those of the Nexon. However, it has more amenities and multiple interior color options than the latter. Some of the notable features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility), 10.25-inch digital driver display, multi-color ambient lighting, 9-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.
For safety, Tata’s SUV Coupe also comes with 6 airbags, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), level 2 ADAS and 360-degree camera.

Tata Curvv: Price and Competitors
The Curvv is priced in India starting at Rs 10 lakh and going up to Rs 19 lakh (all ex-showroom prices). The SUV Coupe competes directly with the Citroen Basalt and serves as an alternative to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushaq.
