Tata is yet to confirm its specifications, but has confirmed that the platform supports motors on both axles, enabling 4×4 capabilities
One of the most exciting upcoming product line-ups comes from either Tata or Mahindra. Both manufacturers are trying their best to even compete with manufacturers from other countries, especially in the field of electric vehicles.
The following are the electric vehicle products that Tata plans to launch. These SUVs are likely to be launched in 4×4 versions.
1. Harrier electric car
The interior of the upcoming Harrier EV will feature the same dashboard layout as the updated ICE version. Some highlights include a large 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless charger, wireless smartphone connectivity, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, and a rotary dial for driving modes.
Similar to the ICE version, the electric Harrier will come with a large panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitor, and Level 2 ADAS suite.

Technical specifications are yet to be confirmed, but we do know that the Harrier EV will be the first electric SUV to come with an all-wheel drive configuration. Furthermore, considering that the Curvv EV now has a battery pack with an ARAI-certified range of 585 kilometers, we expect the Harrier EV to have a range of at least 600 kilometers on a single charge.
2. Safari electric car
The upcoming Safari EV will share much of its design with its ICE counterpart, and from what we can see on test mules, the alloy wheels appear to have a different design. It also has the same connected LED taillights. The interior is likely to be similar to its ICE counterpart, including a 4-spoke steering wheel with illuminated ‘Tata’ logo.

In terms of equipment, the Safari EV is expected to be equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driving display, dual-zone air conditioning, front and rear ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, up to 7 airbags, 360-degree cameras, and electronic stability control (ESC). ) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
The electric version of the Tata Safari will be based on Tata’s new Acti.EV platform, and we expect its range to be around 500 kilometers. Since the Harrier EV will be available in an all-wheel drive option, the Safari EV could also be available in an all-wheel drive option.
3. Sierra Electric Vehicle
At the moment, we don’t have any confirmed specifications from Tata, but we believe the brand’s new Acti.EV architecture will play a crucial role in the development of new electric vehicles in India. The production version of Harrier EV is expected to be unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobile Expo, while the new Tata Sierra will be launched by the end of 2025.
The Tata Sierra EV will come with dual-motor all-wheel drive. It may come with a battery pack of around 60kWh to 80kWh. This electric SUV has a certified driving range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge and borrows most of its features from Harrier or Safari.
