The 1,064 HP 2025 Corvette ZR1 is a bargain, priced at $175,000

  • Chevrolet has announced that the 2025 Corvette ZR1 will start at $174,995 (including destination).
  • That’s $61,200 more than the Corvette Z06, but the ZR1 has 394 more horsepower.
  • Customer orders begin in mid-February, although significant dealer markups appear inevitable.

The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is a triumph of American engineering, but one of the biggest mysteries is pricing. The piece of the puzzle was finally solved, and relatively cheaply.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){ adpushup.triggerAd(“0f7e3106 -c4d6-4db4-8135-c508879a76f8”); } else { adpushup.triggerAd(“82503191-e1d1-435a-874f-9c78a2a54a2f”);

While most cars with more than 1,000 horsepower (746 kW / 1,014 PS) cost over $500,000, the Corvette ZR1 starts at $174,995. The ZR1 convertible is slightly more expensive at $184,995, but both prices include a $1,695 destination charge.

First Look: 2025 Corvette ZR1 is a 1,064-horsepower supercar with a top speed of over 215 mph

That’s significantly higher than the Corvette Z06, which starts at $113,795 (before taking into account the $3,000 gas guzzler tax). The ZR1 is in a different league, however, as it’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine producing 1,064 hp (793 kW / 1,079 PS) and 828 lb-ft (1,121 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an upgraded eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, enabling the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.3 seconds. Equipped with the ZTK Performance Package, the model can also run the quarter mile in 9.6 seconds at 150 mph (241 km/h).

Speaking of options, the ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Kit costs $8,495 and includes an underbody panel and a massive rear wing. They are connected by a hood spoiler and a front dive wing.

Customers can build on this by adding the aforementioned ZTK Performance Package for an additional $1,500. It adds stiffer springs, revised dampers and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires.

The base 1LZ trim comes with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-speaker Bose sound system and eight-way power GT1 or Competition sport seats. They are connected together by the rear camera mirror.

The coupe features a removable carbon fiber roof panel and an engine appearance package with carbon fiber trim. They’re joined together with various other carbon fiber parts, including the ground effects kit and around the air intakes. This convertible seems to eschew some of those details, but it does come with a retractable hardtop.

The range-topping 3LZ starts at $185,995 and comes with fancier Napa leather GT2 or Competition sport seats with heating, ventilation and power lumbar support. Buyers will also find a 14-speaker Bose audio system and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with carbon fiber trim. They feature a mix of leather and suede microfiber upholstery. Other highlights include a wireless smartphone charger, memory pack and additional driver assistance systems such as side blind spot alert and rear cross-traffic alert.
