2024 Mercedes E-Class to be launched in LWB version in India this festive season
Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the sixth-generation E-Class Long Wheelbase model in the Indian market on October 9, 2024. The much-awaited luxury sedan will go head-to-head with the BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase model, blending design enhancements, cutting-edge technology, and increased comfort.
The new E-Class LWB showcases a refreshed design with a redesigned front fascia and unique LED headlights. At the rear, the car features quad taillights that combine with star-shaped brake lights for a unique visual effect, while flush door handles add to its sleek, modern appeal.
Inside, the E-Class stands out with Mercedes’ latest “Super Screen” setup. This includes a large 14.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center, an additional screen for the front passenger, and a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver. The cabin is luxuriously designed and comfortable, with power-reclining rear seats with footrest function, providing a more relaxing experience for rear passengers. The sedan also comes with air suspension and rear-wheel steering, which improves ride quality and maneuverability.
The new E-Class LWB offers two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel, both with a mild-hybrid system for improved efficiency. Power will be transmitted through a 9-speed automatic transmission.
As the new-generation E-Class LWB enters the competitive luxury sedan segment, it will directly compete with the well-known rival in the Indian market, the BMW 5 Series LWB. Pricing and more details will be announced closer to the official launch date.
