Like the Mexican Journey, the redesigned Dodge Attitude is a rebranded GAC
- Dodge has launched a redesigned Attitude for Mexico.
- The sedan is a renamed GAC/Trumpchi Empow and is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine that produces 168 horsepower.
- Prices start at 399,900 MXN, a significant increase from the Mitsubishi-based predecessor, which started at 275,400 MXN.
Forget the Charger Daytona and its dubious sound, because the most exciting Dodge is the redesigned Attitude. In fact, you might want to forget about Dodge, too, because this sedan is just a rebranded GAC/Trumpchi Empow.
Designed to replace its Mitsubishi Mirage-based predecessor, the 2025 Attitude lives up to its name with an aggressive design. There are three trims to choose from, with prices starting at 399,900 Mexican pesos, or the equivalent of $21,070.

The entry-level Attitude SXT comes with rain-sensing wipers, a sports exhaust system, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Buyers will also find automatic headlights with LED daytime running lights.
The interior looks pretty nice, with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment system. It also comes with cruise control, a passive entry system, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors.
The 454,900 Mexican pesos ($23,973) Attitude Sport steps things up with a performance exhaust, larger 18-inch wheels, and a sunroof. Changes are bigger inside, as the mid-level trim gets ventilated synthetic leather front seats with five-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. Buyers will also find a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.
The Sport also comes with additional driver assistance systems, including front parking sensors and nine “autonomous driving”nd Safety assist systems. “It’s pretty much self-explanatory, but the Empow offers adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and traffic jam assist. The model can also be equipped with high-beam assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and traffic sign recognition technology.
Last but not least is the top-of-the-line Attitude GT, which starts at 488,900 Mexican pesos ($25,747). It features black 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, and an optional two-tone interior. This model also comes with a wireless smartphone charger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a four-way power front passenger seat. Other highlights include blind-spot detection and power lumbar support for the driver.
Regardless of which trim you choose, there’s “unrivaled Dodge power” under the hood. That should elicit some chuckles, as the model is powered by a 1.5-liter engine with 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and a likely 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque. As we predicted earlier this month, it’s connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
While that doesn’t sound like an exciting combination, the company promises “sporty handling true to Dodge’s heritage.” Unfortunately, it’s unclear whether that heritage is Mitsubishi or Hyundai.
