- Spy photographers have caught the facelifted Kia EV6 GT testing in Europe.
- The model follows on from the regular hatchback with revised styling and an upgraded interior.
- Kia didn’t reveal specifics, but we can expect an improved battery pack and a simulated seven-speed transmission.
Kia unveiled its facelifted EV6 earlier this year, and now we’ve got a glimpse at the high-performance version that was recently spotted testing in Europe.
var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){ adpushup.triggerAd(“4d84e4c9 -9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a”); } else{ adpushup.triggerAd(“6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657”); } });
Heavily camouflaged, the electric hatchback follows the styling of the regular model and features new headlights with flowing daytime running lights. The similarities end there for the GT, which gets a unique front bumper and distinctive lower air intakes.

The performance theme continues as we can see lightweight wheels paired with a high-performance brake system and neon yellow calipers. The latter suggests that this prototype is the top-of-the-line EV6 GT.

At the rear, nothing seems to have changed. However, we can expect improvements to the bumper and taillights.
Although the spy photographers did not see the interior of the car, the new car will be equipped with a new panoramic curved display, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a matching 12.3-inch infotainment system. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with a new steering wheel, an improved wireless smartphone charger and a center console fingerprint authentication system.
The upgrades should also extend to the powertrain, as the standard model is equipped with a fourth-generation battery with a higher energy density. This increases its capacity from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh.
It’s unclear if there will be other powertrain improvements, but the current EV6 GT has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that produces 576 hp (430 kW / 584 PS) and 545 lb-ft (738 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 161 mph (259 Nm). That being said, an insider recently told us that the car will get a simulated seven-speed gearbox from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
