Kia has announced pricing for the all-new 2025 K4, the successor to the Forte in its sedan lineup in the U.S. The brand’s entry-level sedan starts at $21,990 before destination charge, which is $2,200 more than its predecessor.

The K4 is priced a notch above its discontinued Forte predecessor but comes with a host of upgrades. Inside, it features a more upscale cabin and advanced technology. Although it’s a compact model, Kia claims the 185.4-inch (4,710 mm) long sedan offers 38 inches (965 mm) of “class-leading” rear legroom and cargo space comparable to midsize sedans.

Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto are standard, along with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Available features include a more advanced digital cockpit, Harman Kardon audio, heated and ventilated front seats, a digital key, and a sunroof. Safety equipment includes eight airbags and 11 ADAS (standard), for a total of 29 available systems.

The Kia Forte GT will be replaced by the Kia K4 GT-Line Turbo, suggesting the GT label may only be used for well-rounded performance models. The flagship GT-Line Turbo is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with slightly reduced power of 190 hp (142 kW / 193 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque.

The rest of the Kia K4 range is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine with 147 hp (110 kW / 149 PS) and 132 lb-ft (179 Nm) of torque. In addition, the sporty GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo models are the only ones to feature a multi-link rear suspension.

The 2025 Kia K4 will begin deliveries in the US market in September 2024. The GT-Line will be available in November 2024, while the flagship GT-Line Turbo is expected to arrive early next year. While Kia is keeping mum about the hatchback, we expect it to arrive in the coming months, adding another option to the K4 lineup.
