Kia India has just released a teaser video of the new Carnival MPV, revealing the first details of the upcoming MPV. Set to go on sale on October 3, the updated Kia Carnival is confirmed to come with two sunroofs: one for the front passengers and another for the second-row passengers. The Indian-market MPV appears to come with dual integrated screens – while not confirmed, both the infotainment touchscreen and the digital instrument cluster are expected to be 12.3 inches. Other eye-catching parts include the connected LED taillights and bumper cladding.
It remains to be seen whether the Indian version of the Carnival will be offered in multiple seating arrangements like the global version, which is available in 7-, 9- and 11-seater configurations. For consumers planning to buy the new Carnival, some Kia dealers have started accepting unofficial bookings. The booking amount is set at Rs 1 lakh. It is expected that the car will be available in fully imported form first, followed by local assembly.

According to some market reports, the new model will be available in just one trim level at launch. The facelifted Fiesta is likely to be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, while the global-spec Fiesta is offered with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine.
Apart from this, one can also expect a head-up display, EV9-derived seats, improved climate controls, a digital rearview camera, front and rear dashboard cameras, a digital key, power front seats, a premium audio system, a wireless charger, multiple airbags, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

If the new Carnival is launched in fully imported form, it is likely to be priced between Rs 32 lakh and Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom India). It will not have direct competitors but could serve as an alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross.
