Mahindra & Mahindra’s new electric SUV – BE 6 and XEV 9e – is already creating a buzz among buyers even before it hits the market. The local automaker has high hopes for its upcoming electric SUV based on the INGLO (Intelligent Electric Global) platform, targeting initial monthly sales of 5,000 units for both models. In addition, the company plans to launch these electric SUVs in global markets in a “phased and targeted manner.”
Mahindra will go global with electric vehicles
Mahindra & Mahindra executive director and CEO (automotive and agriculture segment) Rajesh Jejurikar revealed that the company will enter some RHD (right-hand drive) markets across the world, including the UK. In fact, it is also considering entering the LHD (left-hand drive) market, but “over a period of time” and in stages. Mahindra & Mahindra aims to increase its global business revenue by 2.5 times by FY2026 and beyond. Nonetheless, the Indian auto market will remain its focus.
Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e price, booking and delivery
Recently, Mahindra announced the prices of the premium Pack 3 versions of the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs. Pre-orders for this edition will begin at 14:00th It launches in February, while Pack 1 and Pack 2 versions will be available for pre-order in March. Deliveries may start at the same time. Pricing for the Pack 2 variant has not yet been announced. Mahindra BE 6 Pack 1 and Pack 3 models are priced at Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh respectively. Mahindra XEV 9e Pack 1 is priced at Rs 21.40 lakh, while Pack 3 is priced at Rs 30.50 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.

battery options
The two electric vehicles share powertrains. Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e come with two battery pack options – 59kWh and 79kWh – with a range of 556 km and 682 km respectively (ARAI certified). A RWD (rear-wheel drive) system is standard across the entire model range. These electric SUVs offer three driving modes – Range, Daily and Race, as well as Boost mode.
High-end features
Mahindra has equipped its new electric SUV with several high-end features, including a 16-speaker Dolby Atmos Harman Kardon sound system, 5G connectivity with built-in WiFi, panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-color lighting patterns and laminated glass, 360-degree cameras, dual-zone climate controls, seven airbags, level 2 ADAS, segment-first augmented reality HUD, and more.
