The supercharged K24 Ariel Nomad is the pinnacle of adventure

A winch, roof-mounted rally lights, and mud-terrain tires should make the Ariel a formidable off-roader.

The Supercharged K24 Ariel Nomad Is The Pinnacle Of Adventurous Driving
  • Although this Nomad was built in 2017, it has only been driven 769 miles.
  • The cabin is extremely spartan, but there is a pair of composite bucket seats.
  • Sending power through the rear wheels is a six-speed manual transmission.

The Ariel Nomad might just be the perfect marriage of a driver-focused sports car and an off-road adventure vehicle, and anyone who wants to get behind the wheel of one should check out this low-mileage example that’s currently up for auction.

It’s been nearly a decade since the Nomad was first introduced, but it’s still as cool now as it was in 2015. This Nomad is a 2017 model, assembled by TMI AutoTech in South Boston, Virginia, and has been owned by the seller since 2018, but has only traveled 769 miles (1,237 kilometers).

The Nomad is powered by Honda’s K24 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with a supercharger that produces about 300 horsepower. The K24 is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and drives the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.

Like all other Nomads, this one is just as at home on the track as it is on rugged off-road trails. It rides on 15-inch wheels with 235/75 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires, and has double-wishbone suspension at all four corners with adjustable coilover shocks that include Eibach springs and remote reservoirs.

The cabin is extremely bare bones, devoid of any superfluous features that might detract from the driving experience. A three-spoke suede Momo steering wheel takes pride of place, along with a nifty gear lever and an extended hydraulic handbrake lever. Composite bucket seats separate you from the road, while five-point seatbelts keep passengers secure.

Some additional features make this vehicle more suitable for driving in difficult terrain than many other Nomads. For example, it is equipped with a Warn winch, Hella headlights, roof rally lights and LED rear rain lights.

If you think driving this Ariel Nomad around would be fun, head over to Bring a Trailer to place your bid.
