- This crazy sports sedan is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine that puts out 592 horsepower.
- New Bilstein dampers with Eibach springs complement the engine upgrades.
- It is believed that only 200 units of the XE SV Project 8 were produced.
Jaguar is undergoing a radical reinvention that will see it abandon its previous position as a rival to Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz and move upmarket as a rival to Bentley. Going forward, it will also only sell electric cars, and while that’s sad news for enthusiasts, it does make some of the brand’s final roaring ICE models even more desirable. This 2019 XE SV Project 8 is one of them.
The brand launched the SV Project 8 as the ultimate iteration of the XE sedan, with limited examples hand-built at the SVO Technical Center. It’s similar to AMG’s Black Series models. Jaguar said only 300 would be assembled when it was first announced, but production is believed to have been completed after only about 200 were built.

This gorgeous example is located in Manotick, Ontario, Canada and is painted SVO Valencia Orange. Like all other Project 8s, it features flared carbon fiber front fenders and aluminum rear quarter panels, finished in a rocking gray pattern. The car rides on original 20-inch forged wheels with 265/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which come from the factory with plenty of aerodynamic benefits. These include a fixed rear wing, a custom diffuser and an adjustable front splitter.
To make the car as fast as possible on the track, Jaguar installed Eibach springs, Bilstein dampers, and enhanced the brakes with carbon-ceramic discs. The 5.0-liter supercharged V8 produces a staggering 592 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, all of which is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The cabin is well-appointed, including power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in black leather with Miko suede cloth inserts. Despite being a track-focused special edition, the XE SV Project 8 comes with a Meridian sound system and all the same infotainment features as the standard model.
While BMW, Mercedes and Audi will continue to produce sports sedans with internal combustion engines for many years to come, this is indeed Jaguar’s last model. If you’re interested, head over to “With Trailer” to bid before it’s too late.
