The Ford Bronco Raptor is an off-road beast, but it doesn’t come cheap, with prices starting at $90,035. For those who don’t want to spend that much and can live with some quirky aesthetics, this 1980 Raptor-inspired Bronco currently listed on Facebook Marketplace for a more reasonable $12,000 might just fit the bill.
This off-roader started out as a third-generation Ford Bronco from the 1980s, which explains its somewhat awkward proportions. That said, most of the original exterior panels have been replaced with a custom fiberglass body kit. Oh, and if you need to pop the hood or adjust something, the entire kit easily disassembles for easier access to all the mechanical parts underneath.

The exterior is inspired by the Raptor trim of the 2010-2014 Ford F-150, but still uses the original Bronco’s two-door platform. Thick front and rear fenders add some muscle to the boxy silhouette, giving it a “budget Baja racer” feel.
Up front, you’ll find LED headlights and smoked taillights, both borrowed from the 12th-generation F-150, although they look like aftermarket add-ons. There are F-150 and Raptor badges on the tailgate, while the grille has a white “Bronco” badge in case you forget what you’re looking at. Other off-road touches include a rugged front bumper, hood scoop, side gills and fenders.
The exterior is painted in woodland green with a black headliner. The doors appear to be the only original parts that remain, but they have been given new seals and rubber. rust? no problem. The owner said they also fixed the issue by replacing the front floor panel, tailgate and rocker panels.

In terms of power, the third-generation Bronco originally came with a V8 option, but this particular model got an upgrade. Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine derived from the 1985 Ford Mustang. Fun fact: This was the last carbureted V8 ever produced in a Mustang, producing 210 horsepower, enough to put any original Bronco of the era to shame.
