- Demand for the iconic Honda sports car remains high amid bids for this rare American special.
- The AP2 generation is powered by a 2.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with 237 horsepower.
- The car is currently located in British Columbia, Canada, with only about 3,500 miles on it.
Last year, a number of popular Honda S2000 models were launched, with this low-mileage 2008 CR model being one of the most popular. But it’s not cheap.

The Honda S2000 CR, also known as the Club Racer, is limited to 700 units in the U.S. market and is finished in Apex Blue Pearl. It spent the last six years of its life in Canada and is now available in British Columbia. Despite being arguably one of the finest driver’s cars of its time, it had only covered about 3,500 miles (approximately 5,600 km) and was in excellent condition.

Like all other S2000 CR models, the car features custom bodywork that includes a completely revised front fascia and unique bumpers. It also has a removable black hardtop, fixed spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels shod in Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tyres. The cabin features black Alcantara bucket seats with yellow inserts and contrast stitching.

Since this S2000 has barely been driven since it rolled off the production line in 2008, it has remained in excellent condition with little signs of wear. The “Carry a Trailer” listing does not provide a complete detailed service history of the car, but does include some service receipts. These include receipts for a service performed by McLaren Vancouver in 2022, which included an engine oil change and a complete coolant flush.
The original 2.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine is retained without any modifications. When new, the car made 237 hp and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm) of torque, meaning that despite the S2000’s age, it still had more horsepower than the new Toyota GR86 with its larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine bigger.
As of this writing, bidding on the car has reached $70,000. If you’re interested in this S2K, head over to Bring the Trailer before it’s too late.
