

Automobile exports increased by 14.11% in October 2024, and Fronx subcompact crossover SUV became the new leader

Car exports in October 2024 – Maruti Fronx leads the way
Maruti Fronx, a subcompact crossover SUV launched in April 2023, has become the top exported car in October 2024. Its exports increased by 210.91% to 7,070 units, compared with 2,274 units in October 2023, accounting for 11.49% of this market share. list. This is also a significant month-on-month improvement in export numbers compared to the 5,200 units shipped in September 2024. The Maruti Jimny hasn’t really caught on with Indian buyers but has been well-received in the global market. Its export volume increased by 201.56% year-on-year to 5,802 units, higher than 1,924 units in October 2023. Export volume increased by 3,878 units, accounting for 9.43% of total export volume.

Hyundai Grand i10 ranked third with 4,707 units exported last month, a year-on-year increase of 35.49% from 3,474 units in October 2023. Verna’s exports also increased from 3,663 units in October 2024 to 4,641 units, a year-on-year increase of 26.70%. One month last year. Honda Elevate has received an overwhelming response across the globe. Sales in October 2024 increased by 17212.50% year-on-year to 4,155 vehicles, while sales in the same month last year were only 24 vehicles. Sales increased by 4,131 units. Demand for the Maruti Swift has also improved, with 3,454 units exported last month, up 27.03% year-on-year from 2,719 units exported in October 2023. Exports of the Toyota HyRyder also increased by 102.47% to 2,707 units, while the Nissan Sunny was the top export model in the region. September 2024 drops to No. 10 on this list. Sunny’s exports fell by 18.28% from 2,987 units in October 2023 to 2,441 units in October 2024. Exports of Hyundai Aura also dropped year-on-year to 2,173 units, a decrease of 38.37% from 3,526 units in October 2023.
The demand for Maruti Ertiga (1,599 units) and Celerio (1,485 units) increased by 45.76% and 20.83% respectively. Spresso (1,435 units) and Kia Sonet (1,427 units) fell by 38.60% and 40.44% year-on-year respectively, while Maruti Eeco exports increased by 24.48% year-on-year to 1,078 units. In October 2023, Eeco shipped 866 units.
Export volume of cars below 1,000 units in October 2024
Hyundai Exter’s export volume ranks in the sub-1,000 unit segment. Export volume was 919 units, of which Exter accounted for 1.49% share. Ciaz exports increased by 83.40% to 917 units, while G Vitara exports fell by 59.21% to 680 units. Also on the list is the Hyundai Creta, with exports of 654 units, a year-on-year increase of 219.02% from 205 units in October 2023.
Mahindra XUV3XO (590 units), Citroen C3 (547 units) are relatively new products in this export list. Among downstream models, export volumes of i20 (512 units), Venue (501 units), Carens (436 units) and Alcazar (403 units) all declined year-on-year. However, Alto exports increased by 125.84% to 402 units, an increase of 125.84% from the 178 units shipped in October 2023. The list also includes City (378 units), C3 Aircross (259 units), XUV700 (240 units) Seltos (179 units), XUV300 (136 units) and Meridian (135 units).
The export volume of Skoda Kushaq increased by 404.35% to 116 units, and the export volume of Scorpio increased by 45.45% to 96 units. Jeep Compass sales fell 33.03% to 73 units, while demand for Maruti Brezza improved and exports surged 129.03% to 71 units last month. Ignis also grew by 4.69% to 67 units. The list also includes XL6 (46 units), Maxximo (39 units), WagonR (23 units), Kiger (20 units), Magnite (8 units), Bolero (5 units), Triber (5 units) and Amaze (1 unit )unit).
