At the end of 2024, the two-wheeler market saw some decline in sales. This is usually because buyers tend to wait for the New Year, but the top 10 two-wheeler sales charts for December 2024 also show a pretty clear year-on-year decline in sales. This suggests these stalwarts may be losing market share to competitors not included in this list.
Top 10 Two Wheelers of December 2024
Any mention or coverage of 2W must begin with Glory of Heroes. This phenomenon has long been the best-selling 2W vehicle in India. Brilliance’s sales were 1,92,438 units, accounting for 25.63% of the total sales in this list, a year-on-year decrease of 15.50% and a month-on-month decrease of 34.51%.
Splendor sales lost 35,310 units year-on-year and 1,01,390 units month-on-month, while 2,27,748 units were sold in December 2023 and 2,93,828 units were sold in November 2024. Ranking second is Honda Activa with a total of 1 unit and 20,981 units sold last month. Compared to 1,44,335 units sold last year and 2,06,844 units sold a month ago, Activa registered a year-on-year decrease of 16.68% and a month-on-month decrease of 41.51%. The sales volume decreased by 23,354 units year-on-year and 85,863 units month-on-month.
Honda Shine ranks third, accounting for 13.43% of sales in this list. Shine became the first model to register a year-on-year growth of 18.44% with sales of 1,00,841 units, but the month-on-month sales fell by 30.71%. The sales volume of TVS Jupiter was 88,668 units, a year-on-year increase of 48.93%. Like Shine, Jupiter’s quarter-on-quarter sales fell 11.07%.
The fifth position is occupied by Bajaj Pulsars with 65,571 units sold. Compared to 1,06,734 units sold in December 2023 and 1,14,467 units sold in November 2024, Pulsar fell by 38.57% year-on-year and 42.72% month-on-month. Suzuki’s Access 125 ranked sixth in the top 10 two-wheeler rankings in December 2025 with 51,180 units sold, down 3.19% year-on-year and 3.58% month-on-month. The company has just launched the new Access 125 at the 2025 Auto Expo.
RE Classic 350 can achieve positive year-on-year and month-on-month growth with only 2W
Hero MotoCorp’s second position in the segment is the HF Deluxe with 41,713 units sold. Just like the Splendor model, HF Deluxe sales fell by 19,343 units year-on-year and 74,708 units month-on-month. TVS’ evergreen XL100 ranks eighth on the list with 33,092 units sold. It dropped 13.58% year-on-year and 27.94% month-on-month. Sales volume decreased by 5,198 units year-on-year and 12,831 units month-on-month.
Ranked ninth is the Royal Enfield Classic 350, with 29,637 units sold. It is the only 2W model on the list to achieve year-on-year growth (39.57%) and month-on-month growth (7.72%). Finally, Bajaj Platina ranked tenth with 25,584 units sold, a year-on-year decrease of 2.22% and a month-on-month decrease of 42.61%. As of December 2024, the total number of top 10 two-wheelers was 7,50,705 units, a year-on-year decrease of 8.91% and a month-on-month decrease of 34.66%.
