1. MarutiSuzuki and Vitara

Maruti Suzuki and Vitara

Maruti Suzuki officially announced E Vitara on the Indian market at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. Scheduled to start sales next month, the local automaker’s first electric vehicle in India will offer two battery pack options, namely 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The larger battery pack will be available in a single charge of over 500 km. E Vitara is based on the new skateboarding platform The Heartect-E.

The MG Windsor EV has been on sale since its launch in September 2024, surpassing the Tata Nexon EV. However, with the current 37.9 kWh battery pack (claimed range is 331 km), EVs are very needed for buyers looking for a longer range.

MG Windsor EV-7

To address this, MG plans to launch a 50 kWh battery pack option for Windsor Electric Vehicle, which is already available in some international markets. It is expected to be launched next month, in April 2025, and the remote version will come with a single charge of 460 km.

3. TATAHARRIER EV

The Tata Harrier EV is officially unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo and is scheduled to be released in April this year, as well as a price announcement. Based on the brand’s Gen 2 Acti.EV architecture, the electric SUV uses a heavily modified electric version of the current Omega-ARC platform.

MG officially announced the M9 in the Indian market at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo in January. Pre-orders for premium electric MPVs originally scheduled to be launched in April 2025. In India, the all-electric M9 premium MPV will be equipped with a 90kWh battery pack. The power output figure is 245 bhp and 350 nm of peak torque, and the single charge claims WLTP of 430 km. Once launched, the MG M9 will rival the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire on the Indian market.

6. Kia EV6 facelift

Kia officially announced the Indian EV6 makeover at the 2025 Auto Expo. Booking for EV6 Facelift is scheduled to be launched in June 2025. The updated EV has made many changes to the packaging, such as the revised fascia, a new design for the alloy wheels, and some updates to the interior, as well as new features.

The highlight of the EV6 makeover is the larger 84kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of more than 650 kilometers for a single charging. The EV6 makeover dual-sport AWD sets the power output figure at peak torques of 325 hp and 605 nm.

7. Kia Carens EV

Kia is currently developing electric Carens and plans to launch in the Indian market in June this year. The Carens EV will share its design with Carens Facelift, a modification that should be released next month. However, the styling will undergo specific changes, such as blank front grille, air-efficient wheels, interior and exterior badges, and more.

In terms of functionality, it is expected to be a 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof and a 2-level ADAS. Although the powertrain details are not yet clear, the Carens EV is expected to share the battery pack and electric motor with the Hyundai Creta Electric, with a single charge claiming a range of more than 400 kilometers.
