TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) has just launched the Fortuner Legender Manual 4×4 version in India, making this large SUV more affordable than before. Where pricing is involved, the Fortuner Legender Manual 4×4 costs Rs 4636 crore (EX-SH), which is 1.73 lakh (EX-SH) less than the automatic 4×4 version.

With the launch of this new variant, it is now possible to buy 4×2 rupees (EX-SH) for Rs 4×2, 4×4 MT (just launched) for Rs 4636 crore (EX-SH) and Rs 4×4 and Rs 480,909 crore. The only other combination missing from Fortuner Legender is the variant of 4×2 MT, which would be the most affordable if it becomes a reality.
The new Fortuner Legender Manual 4×4 variant is available in only one unique color – white platinum pearls with a black roof dual tone. There is nothing else that the vehicle changes or adds to the other side of adding a manual transmission option in the 4×4 variant and continues to offer the same equipment as below.

What does it get?
These include 18-inch alloy wheels, power tailgate features, black and maroon interior themes, 7 airbags, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, touch-screen infotainment screen, 11-speaker premium audio system from JBL, preewette todleette indoor interior interior decor, power driver seats, steering-mounted controllers, and more.
In terms of powertrain, the Toyota Fortuner Legender continues to be powered by the same 2.8-liter 4-cylinder single-turbodiesel engine capable of producing 204 bhp of peak power. Because this is a manual variant, the peak torque is only 420 nm, rather than the 500 nm peak torque seen on the automatic transmission variant.
On the competitor side, the Toyota Fortuner Legender occupies a large body on frames such as the burly 7-seat SUV, such as the MG Gloster and the Isuzu Mu-X. In terms of pricing, the Toyota Fortuner Legender is also comparable to the Jeep Meridian, Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq.
