If India has an aspiring SUV in the mainstream sector and SUV buyers are discouraged, it must be the Toyota Fortuner. Especially the legendary version placed on the Standard Destiny. In Bangkok’s ongoing BIMS, Toyota shows off a Fortuner Legender Thai concept that is more attractive than the standard legend. Let’s take a closer look.
Toyota Fortuner Legend Thailand Concept
Even if it doesn’t have the most performance, the most features or the most devices, and the most beautiful or the largest size, the Toyota Fortuner has built a significant following in India. At the ongoing Bangkok International Auto Show, Toyota showed off the Fortuner Legender Thai Concept. This is a regular Fortuner Legender with body kit, larger wheels and other things. There is no news about whether Toyota will launch it in Thailand, and the company has not disclosed any expected prices. In terms of design, the Toyota Fortuner Legender Thai concept has a more sanitary wheel arch covering with geometric shapes. These wheel arch covers do not extend to the door siding, but rather are muscle appealing to this SUV. Additionally, the exciting muscle maker is Jager’s 20-inch alloy wheels, finished in lovely shades of gold.
On the front we can see a new bounce on the lower bumper, which extends outward, adding to the overall presence that Legender already has. We can see similar skis in the rear, and even have a diffuser-like appearance. Everything comes together, and the Thai concept takes the attractiveness of the Standard Legend to a whole new level.

Because this is not an Indian-spec package model, we can see features like 360-degree cameras, a 260-degree camera with automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, and a larger touch screen infotainment screen. There is also white element on the door mat for this particular model.
In the case of powertrain involvement, the Toyota Fortuner Legender gets the same 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine in Thailand, which is able to develop a maximum power of 200 bhp of 500 nm of maximum torque when paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
