Even though pickup trucks aren’t a popular type for markets like India, enthusiasts still love their versatility. Toyota Hilux caters to this niche, which will get a new model in the form of the Toyota Hilux Travo. Hilux Travo has conducted surveillance tests abroad for the first time, which may hint at the new face of the Fortuner SUV.
Toyota Hilux Travo spy test
Toyota Hilux Travo was monitored for the first time. As can be seen from recent spy shots, Hilux Travo has acquired a brand new fascia that looks more modern and aggressive in some ways. The double cab shell case seen in these spy shots shows that it is roughly the same as the current eighth generation model, called the Hilux Revo.

That said, Toyota is likely to position the upcoming Hilux Travo as a new generation model, a strategy we have seen with the recently launched 9th-generation Camry. Smart, we can see a new panel with sleeker headlights and LED DRL, the fascia looks like a plastic trim and can be with Toyota letters or logos.
The new grill is larger on the top, facing the bottom. This particular test m has a radar module in the lower grill of ADAS features. Probably a small round fog lamp of LED. The antenna is still a traditional unit and exists on the front. ORVM gets 360 camera functionality and blind-spot assisted camera.

We can also see a silver element in the lower bumper, which may be a real bash board, not a fake board. The alloy wheel design is new and has tall contoured tires due to its off-road reputation. The side profile looks the same as the current model, and the sneaky front seats inside are the same as the current model.
Fortuner’s neofascia?
The Toyota Hilux is currently the eighth generation and is a world-renowned pickup truck known for its reliability and reliability. Hilux is based on the IMV step-frame chassis, which places the Toyota Fortuner SUV and Innova Crysta MPV on this chassis. Both cars are more popular in India than Hilux.

Updates to Hilux are likely to produce updates to Fortuner and Crysta, which is exciting news for the Indian market. Sadly, these spy photos do not show the dashboard and related internal changes. We can expect a redesigned dashboard that contains a larger screen and features such as wireless smartphone connectivity, front and rear ventilated seats, and possibly a sunroof.
The 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine powering the Toyota Hilux Travo, with a mild 48V hybrid engine, is expected to save 10% fuel instead of the current model. The engine will generate 201-stage peak power and peak torque up to 500 nm and pair with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Hilux Travo is expected to be launched in Thailand on February 2, 2025, and India may get it in 2026.
