Toyota Innova Crysta, Fortuner waiting period extended to 3

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has increased the production of SUVs, thereby shortening the waiting time for two popular models. According to the latest update, the waiting time for the Innova Crysta has been reduced to two to three months from five months in July. Lower-spec models typically have a wait of around two months, while mid-spec GX+ and well-equipped ZX models have a slightly longer wait of three months. Some dealers may even offer the MPV within a month, depending on stock availability. At the same time, the waiting period for Fortuner has been shortened to a maximum of two months. But it’s important to note that these timelines may vary by dealer and region.

Toyota Innova Crysta, Fortuner: Appearance, engine options and price

Toyota Innova Crysta features a bold yet sophisticated design with a larger front grille and stylish angular headlights. The MPV features stylish 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and updated bumpers for a more modern look. Its elegant body lines and premium touches enhance its overall road presence. This model is available in five colors: Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Avant Bronze Metallic and Ultra White. Under the hood, the Crysta is powered by a 2.4-liter diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission that delivers a peak power of 148 horsepower and a maximum torque of 343 Nm.

Toyota Innova Crysta is priced between Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 26.55 lakh ex-showroom in India. Although it has no direct rival, it serves as an alternative to vehicles like Mahindra Marazzo, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Tata Harrier and Kia Carens.

The Fortuner comes with a wider front grille, less chrome, 18-inch alloy wheels, more aggressive bumpers, redesigned fog lamp housings, faux skid plate on the chin, smaller hood with LED DRL badging Headlights and LED taillights. The model is priced in India from Rs 33.43 lakh to Rs 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it competes with Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and MG Gloster.

Mechanically, the Fortuner comes with two engine options: a 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 2.8-litre diesel engine. The diesel engine produces 201 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque, while the petrol engine produces 164 hp and 245 Nm of torque. Diesel models also offer an optional 4×4 system. In terms of transmission, the petrol engine comes with a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque converter automatic, while the diesel engine comes with a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque converter automatic.
