Bimble Designs’ Innova Hycross TRD Sports renderings feature a sporty look and design that looks more muscular and attractive than the original car
Currently in its third generation, the Toyota Innova Hycross has become the most popular vehicle in its segment. As the lines between SUV and MPV become blurred, the Innova Hycross strongly appeals to both audiences. It is India’s first hybrid electric MPV and a popular choice among chauffeur-driven customers.
Despite its association with SUVs, people are not buying the Innova Hycross because of its looks or appearance. But what if there was a sports version? This is where Bimble’s Innova Hycross TRD sports rendering shines, making this family MPV even more popular. The stock Innova Hycross is a refreshing change and the results are truly unique.
Innova Hycross TRD Sport
Toyota’s Innova brand has become a phenomenon in India, doing well in both the private buyer and commercial (taxi and fleet operators) segments. It’s an MPV 4,755mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,790mm tall, but it could have had more road presence. The stock 18-inch alloy wheels look ridiculously small and skinny. It requires a more aggressive and commanding presence.
Bimble Designs took note of this and created renderings of the Innova Hycross TRD Sports, giving it a muscular and manly appeal. At the same time, Bimble has also tweaked some stock elements, which gives their TRD Sports version more visual appeal.
First off, the LED DRL sign is new and features an interesting pattern. The front bumper is completely new, with a pronounced T-shaped element. The Grill has been modified to give it a RAV4 vibe by adding a crossbar that connects the two headlights through its logo. The lower grille has been strengthened and has active air channels for smoother air flow.
The muscular bonnet gives a mean look that changes the stock appeal of the Innova Hycross. What really changes the look of the TRD Sports render are the massive wheels wrapped in wide, low-profile tires. These tires will probably be about 275 or 285 in section size, paired with 20-inch or 21-inch wheels.
At the rear, the rendering features smoked taillights with new LED signatures and a new rear bumper with dual exhaust pipes. The sporty roof spoiler further enhances the sporty appeal of the Innova Hycross TRD Sports. The wheel wells have been modified to accommodate these tires, and the wheel arches are flared to suit the Innova Hycross. Red brake calipers, seat upholstery and sporty side skirts are notable elements.
What’s under the hood?
Stock vehicles come with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, available in non-hybrid and hybrid forms. The latter accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds. We wish the Innova Hycross TRD Sports render packed a little more substance to go with its plain exterior. Assume a V6 engine with around 350 bhp. That would be epic.
