Toyota’s $15,000 electric SUV gets 10,000 orders in just 60 times

China is quickly establishing itself as the global epicenter of affordable electric vehicles, and there is good reason. But most budget-friendly electric vehicles come from local brands that are able to revolve around traditional restrictions that slow down traditional automakers.

The vehicle in question is the BZ3X, which has come to life thanks to Toyota’s joint venture with GAC. It was first proposed in December, but sales have just begun.
