Compared to the rest of the world combined, the coverage of affordable electric vehicles in the Chinese market is damaged. The Toyota BZ3X has just been on sale in China and has caused a huge buzz in the market as it is the first non-Chinese brand to launch a price war in China. The BZ3X is so popular that it obviously crashed Toyota’s booking system. Let’s take a closer look.

Toyota BZ3X is launched

Imagine a Tata Fruit size electric SUV priced at around Rs 1.3 lakh. Who doesn’t want to buy one, right? This is exactly the concept around Toyota BZ3X that just sold in China. At this price point, vehicles of this size are offered at this price point, and electric powertrains have become the masterpiece of the GAC Toyota.

Launched under the GAC Toyota Partnership BZ3X electric SUV, it was launched in China and received over 10,000 pre-orders in the first hour. The influx of traffic crashed it to Toyota’s booking system. The Toyota BZ3X offers 430 air and 430 air+ trim, with a range of 430 km from 50.03 kWh batteries, 520 Pro and 520 Pro+ trim, and a range of 58.37 kWh batteries in 520 km.

The maximum range of 610 km is the top specification 610 maximum trim, and the equipment is equipped with a 67.92 kWh battery. Price starts at CNY 109,800 (about Rs 13 lakh), basically 430 Air, up to CNY 159,800 (about Rs 19 lakh). The Air and Pro models come with a 204 BHP single motor, while the Max Model comes with a 224 BHP single motor.

Specifications and functions

The Toyota BZ3X is 4,600 mm long, 1,875 mm wide, 1,645 mm high and 2,765 mm long. It features sleek LED lighting elements, large wheels, a solid body cladding, flush door handles, chrome highlights, charging ports for the right front quarter panel, and blackening effects of the roof and pillars. There is a light bulb on the top of the windshield that houses the car’s LiDAR sensor to provide autonomous driving capabilities.

Speaking of which, the Toyota BZ3X packs 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, 3mm wave radars and lidars. All of this is controlled by the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX ORIN X system. Other notable elements include a 14.6-inch infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch instrument screen, an 11-speaker Yamaha sound system, ambient lighting, plush interior materials and sponge-like spaces, thanks to its flexible seat layout.
