The TVS Apache RR 310 gets major improvements, including the addition of integrated wings and a transparent clutch cover, making it look and feel more premium. As a result, its price has gone up, starting at Rs 2.75 lakh. The motorcycle is available in two main variants, and three build-to-order (BTO) customization options can increase its price to nearly Rs 3.2 lakh. Even with these improvements, it is still slightly cheaper than the KTM RC 390, which is priced at Rs 3.21 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

The TVS Apache RR 310 has always been known for its impressive features and the 2024 model continues the tradition. The latest version now includes a bi-directional quickshifter and cruise control as standard on all models except the base variant. TVS has raised the bar by offering a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in the Dynamic Package, which is priced at Rs 18,000. For an additional Rs 16,000, the Dynamic Pro Package adds RT-DSC (Racing-tuned Dynamic Stability Control) which comes with advanced features like cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cornering cruise control, wheelie control, hill-dependency control and rear lift control. These features can all be accessed through the 5-inch TFT display which also supports TVS’s SmartXonnect for navigation, calls, messages and notifications over Bluetooth connectivity.

In contrast, the KTM RC 390 remains focused on delivering a pure racing experience. It does not have multiple riding modes or cruise control. However, it is equipped with a 6-axis IMU that enables features such as traction control, cornering ABS, and a superbike mode that disables the rear wheel ABS to allow sliding and cornering lock. Although the motorcycle is equipped with a fully digital TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, it does not offer turn-by-turn navigation and only provides basic call, text and notification alerts.

Mechanically, the Apache RR 310 still gets a 312cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 37.5bhp and 29Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Meanwhile, the KTM RC 390 is powered by a 373.27cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 43bhp of maximum power and 37Nm of peak torque. Similar to the TVS model, it also comes with a six-speed unit. Moreover, the motorcycle is available in three colour options: Orange, Blue and GP Edition.

Both the TVS Apache RR 310 and KTM RC 390 ride on a split trellis frame with USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Both motorcycles get front and rear disc brakes, but the KTM RC 390 gets a larger 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc, while the TVS Apache RR 310 gets a 300 mm front disc and a slightly larger 240 mm rear disc. Compared to the petal discs on the TVS, the KTM’s disc brakes are lighter and improve the unsprung masses, making the motorcycle more nimble. However, TVS offers a build-to-order (BTO) customization option with adjustable KYB front and rear suspension in the Dynamic Kit for an additional Rs 18,000.
