TVS Motor Company reported strong sales results in March 2025, up 16.95% year-on-year in its domestic and export operations of two-wheelers and tricycles. The company sold 4,14,687 units in March 2025, compared with 3,54,592 units a year ago, gaining momentum in various segments.
Two-wheeler leader
Two-wheelers remain the main growth driver for TVs, with total sales (domestic + export) reaching 4,00,120 units, with sales of 3,444,4446 units sold in March 2024 up 16.16%.
– Motorcycle sales From 1,71,611 units to 1,96,734 units (led by Apache, Raider), a year-on-year increase of 14.64%.
– Scooter sales The strong growth was 26.49% (led by Jupiter (Ntorq), with 1,66,297 units sold, compared to 1,31,472 in March 2024.
– iqube electric Scooter sales nearly doubled, up 76.62% to 26,935 units, up from 15,250 units last year.
– XL100 mop However, sales fell 10.33%, with a total of 37,089 units in March 2025, compared with 41,363 units in March 2024.
Domestic two-wheeled vehicles sales were 2,97,622 units, a year-on-year increase of 14.24%. Exports also showed strong momentum, transporting 1,02,498 vehicles, an increase of 22.15% from last year.
The tricycle segment can achieve strong growth
TVS also released solid gains in the tricycle category. Total three-round sales rose 43.57% to 14,567 units in March 2025.
– Sales in domestic three-round sales were 3,601 units, up 72.46% last year.
– The export volume of tricycles was 10,966, jumping 36.09% from 8,058 in March 2024.
Overall domestic and export growth
– Total domestic Sales (2W + 3W) reached 3,01,223 units, reflecting a 14.70% increase in 2,62,620 units in March 2024.
– Total export (2W + 3W) hit 1,13,464 units, with 91,972 units up 23.37% last year.
Performance in January May 2025 quarter
TVS Motor Company reported outstanding performance in the 2024-25 fiscal year for the fourth quarter. Sales of two-wheelers increased by 14% year-on-year, climbing from 1.032 million units in Q4 2023-24 to 11.8 million units in Q4 2024-25. The growth in the tricycle sector also had a healthy 21% increase, with sales rising from 30,000 units to 37,000 units over the same period. Export performance was also impressive, up 31%, with sales rising from 2.6 million units to 3.4 million units in the fourth quarter.
Sales Performance 2024-25
Total sales of TVS Motor increased by 13% throughout the fiscal year 2024-25, from 41.91 million units in fiscal year 2023-24 to 47.444 crore units. Two-wheeler sales made a significant contribution to this performance, up 12% to 43.3 million units. Although tricycle sales fell slightly from 1.46 billion units to 1.35 billion shares, the company’s export business soared 18%, up 18%, from 10.13 billion units to 1.195 million units, which is an enhanced state of television motorcycles in the international market.
