

Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has announced the appointment of Dominic McKay as its new chief executive. Dominic joined SEC in May from Swiss European Professional Rugby Club (EPCR), where he currently serves as Executive Chairman.
The appointment comes as the SEC enters its 40th anniversaryth this year and accelerate an ambitious growth plan that will see its venues continue to attract the biggest artists and events and deliver significant financial returns to Scotland and Glasgow. The SEC currently spends an estimated £468 million in Glasgow, £304 million in Scotland and £263 million in the UK, illustrating its importance.
Dominic has extensive experience in some of Europe’s most dynamic organizations, including ECPR, where he set new strategies and led the board and executive in the development and growth of the Investec European Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup. played an important role. Dominic’s arrival comes at an exciting time for the venue. The venue will also host the British Society of Hematology, Energy Networks Association and the European Society of Clinical Allergy and Immunology as well as many other conferences and corporate events vital to the city. Preparations have begun for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, where the SEC will once again build on the success of the 2014 Games by hosting a number of events.
