South Korean carmaker Hyundai to launch two new electric vehicles in India at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025
With 10 models, 13 of which include N Line variants, Hyundai has one of the most comprehensive car lineups in India. The company plans an extensive product showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and will further expand its product portfolio by launching two new vehicles at the event. Here are all the details about the upcoming Hyundai models in India:
1. Hyundai Creta EV
Hyundai Creta EV will make one of the biggest global debuts at the Bharat Mobile World Expo 2025. Derived from India’s most popular SUV, the Hyundai Creta, the new model will challenge the Tata Sierra.ev, Maruti e Vitara and the all-electric Toyota City Cruiser. It is likely to be launched during the official unveiling event and the price may start around INR 20 lakh.
Apart from a revised front end, closed radiator grille, new aerodynamic wheels and unique bumpers, the Hyundai Creta EV should look identical to its ICE donor model. On the interior, it may adopt a more upscale appearance, including a three-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the international second-generation Kona Electric, a new climate control panel that is closely integrated with the facelifted Alcazar, and a new center console with richer functions. design.

The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be available in only one electric configuration. It is supposed to have just one electric motor, producing around 138 hp and 255 Nm of torque, powering the front wheels. A 45 kWh LFP battery pack will likely power this motor.
2. Hyundai Ioniq 9
The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is based on the Electronic Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and is the mechanical cousin of the Kia EV9. However, this electric three-row SUV is slightly larger with length, width and height of 5,060 mm, 1,980 mm and 1,790 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,130 mm.

Despite its sleek and aerodynamic features, the Hyundai Ioniq 9’s performance on the road is impressive. A full-width light strip on the leading edge of the bonnet, flush door handles, luxury car-like multi-spoke alloy wheels, and towering taillights that form an arch along with the full-width third brake light give it an attractive look.
The Ioniq 9’s luxurious, lounge-like interior includes a sliding front center console, dual-opening storage compartments (front and rear), swivel seats, panoramic curved displays including two 12-inch screens, 5.1-channel , 14-speaker Bose sound system, 100W high-output USB-C port, and UV-C sterilizer. Hyundai offers the Ioniq 9 in six- and seven-seat versions globally.
Hyundai offers the Ioniq 9 in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations globally, with the top-end model equipped with two 160-kW (214-horsepower) electric motors that accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds and have a top speed It can reach 200 km/hh. It comes standard with a 110.3 kWh battery pack and is expected to have a WLTP cruising range of up to 620 kilometers. Hyundai is likely to launch the Ioniq 9 in India sometime in late 2025, with local specifications revealed closer to that time.
