Tata Motors has become increasingly aggressive in its product strategy for the fast-growing Indian market. Recently, the company launched revised versions of Curvv ICE, Curvv EV and Nexon CNG. Also, Tata Motors’ new cars have received an overwhelming response from buyers. The company also dominates the electric vehicle (EV) space, with over 70% market share. Here, we take a sneak peek at Tata Motors, which will be launched in the next 2-3 years.
Upcoming Tata Motors in 2025-2026
Tata fist facelift
The new Tata Punch facelift has been confirmed to be launched in 2025. The micro-SUV is expected to get some noticeable changes inside and out, with some of the design updates likely to be inspired by the Curvv. The micro-SUV is likely to come with slightly tweaked front and rear bumpers, new headlamp units, and a revised bonnet design. Inside, expect a handful of upgrades, including a new digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, touch-sensitive HVAC controls, an air purifier, and six airbags. Recently, the micro SUV was updated with a new 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, Type-C fast charger, and a new front armrest with storage space and integrated rear AC vents. No changes are expected under the hood as the 2025 Tata Punch will continue to use an 86bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.

Tata Harrier EV/Safari EV
this Electric versions of Harrier and Safari SUVs is next on our list of upcoming Tata cars. The company showcased a near-production version of the SUV at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2024. The Tata Harrier EV gets a new closed grille, revised bumper with angular creases, split headlight units with black housings and a new LED light bar across its width. Both Harrier EV and Safari EV will be built on the Acti.ev platform and support front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems. The platform is compatible with permanent magnet synchronous motors and induction motors.
The electric SUVs will feature a technologically advanced cabin with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a new center tunnel with rotary dials for different driving modes, and a new two-spoke steering wheel. The powertrain setup is likely to include a battery pack with a capacity of around 60kWh, dual electric motors and an AWD system. These electric SUVs are expected to offer V2L and V2V charging capabilities, with a range of up to 400 kilometers to 500 kilometers on a single charge.

Tata Altroz electric car
Tata Motors showcased the Altroz EV at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo and has now confirmed that the production version will debut in 2025. Like the concept car, the soon-to-be-produced Altroz EV is likely to feature a closed grille with integrated daytime running lights, modern headlights, and a front air dam adorned with a star pattern. Other features include newly designed alloy wheels, a revised tailgate and a redesigned rear bumper. The interior will receive some EV-specific changes. Built on the Acti.ev platform, altroz electric car It is expected to be equipped with a battery pack of 25kWh to 35kWh. It will be powered by Tata’s Ziptron technology, equipped with a permanent magnet AC motor and a lithium-ion battery pack, and can travel between 300 km and 430 km on a single charge.

Tata Serra electric car
Tata Motors confirms Sierra lifestyle SUV It will be launched in fiscal year 2025 with electric and ICE (internal combustion engine) powertrains. Design patents for the new Sierra EV have been leaked online. Built on the Acti.ev platform, the Sierra EV supports various body styles and sizes and will be the first model from Tata’s premium electric vehicle brand ‘Avinya’.
The Sierra will be a lifestyle SUV with a feature-rich interior including a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital instrument console. Two seating configurations are expected to be available: a regular 5-seat with a rear bench seat and a 4-seat lounge version. The Lounge version will feature individual rear seats with electric adjustment. The SUV will be equipped with several high-end features, including ADAS, electric sunroof, digital driver display, ambient mood lighting and separate screens for rear passengers in the lounge version. It is likely to come with a 60kWh battery pack and a dual-motor setup, allowing it to travel around 500 kilometers on a single charge.

The Tata Avinya EV was first unveiled as a concept car in 2022, showcasing the brand’s third-generation electric vehicle platform. Tata Motors has since confirmed that ‘Avinya’ will be the company’s High-end electric vehicle brandoffering a range of electric SUVs and MPVs. These upcoming Tata EVs will overlap with regular Tata EVs in terms of pricing and positioning. Tata’s new manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu will serve as the production hub for the Avinya EV range. All Tata Avinya cars will be based on Jaguar Land Rover’s modular EMA architecture, which will be highly localized to enable competitive pricing.
