Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch an upgraded version of its most expensive scooter, the Destini 125. The launch date is yet to be announced but Hero is expected to launch the new version in the first week of next month. The existing Hero Destini 125 went on sale about 6 years ago and the scooter has remained largely unchanged since then.
While the official teaser doesn’t reveal anything, the patent images show that the updated Hero Destini will feature a boxier design than the current version, with cleaner side lines. The front is likely to feature triangular headlamps and apron-style indicators, while the rear is likely to feature a sleeker tail. Other expected features include beefy grab rails, a new external fuel tank cap, and a revised exhaust system. There will also be a range of new colours to choose from.

Updated Hero Destini 125: Powertrain, Hardware
The new Destini 125 should be powered by the same 124.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a CVT. In the current version, the engine produces 9bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. Hero might give the upcoming Destini 125 some engine tweaks.
The chassis is also expected to be the same as before – telescopic front forks and rear monoshock. Braking hardware is likely to include a disc drum setup on the top-end variant. The existing Destini 125 rides on 10-inch wheels and we expect the updated version to change that. Hero is expected to equip the new bike with 12-inch wheels at both ends, or at least at the front, to remain competitive in the market.
Updated Hero Destini 125: Features
The new scooter is expected to get added features like full LED lighting and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity compared to the current Hero Destini 125. The scooter currently comes with a digital analogue console, USB charger, pillion seat backrest and storage compartment.
