The Italian brand’s first and only SUV is part of a special, exclusive club because of its V12 engine, but it’s also very expensive

- Ferrari’s Purosangue carries a sticker price of more than $300,000 above its already high MSRP.
- By comparison, you can buy a low-mileage Lamborghini Urus for around $200,000.
- The asking price of these Purosangues even exceeds that of used Ferrari SF90 Stradales.
Ferrari’s answer to the SUV craze is the Purosangue, a car that seems to exist solely to give purists migraines and give hedge fund managers something worth fighting over. But it’s also an SUV unlike any other on the market. While there are many models from other high-end brands, including Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Porsche, the Purosangue is the only one with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine.
Mechanical flexibility alone explains why the first few SUVs to hit the U.S. used car market are selling for far more than the SUV’s already eye-popping MSRP (starting at around $400,000).
Now, only a few months in the making, we thought it would be a good idea to check out the classifieds. Sure enough, we found five 2024 Purosangues available for immediate delivery in the United States. Of those, four were listed by Limited Spec Automotive of Miami, Florida, and the fifth was sold by Lamborghini Broward of Davie, Florida.

Three of the four Purosangues Limited specifications The asking price is a whopping $699,980 per unit in stock. That’s about $300,000 more than the super-SUV’s original starting price, though it’s safe to say that few, if any, customers will actually shell out the $400,000 base MSRP without adding in the numerous available options. price. One of the three cars is painted black and has a mileage of 200 miles (320 km), the other is gray and has a mileage of 210 miles (338 km), while a red model is also up for grabs, Mileage is 23 miles (37 km) under its belt.

Interestingly, the black and gray examples have been available from dealers since late August, but have yet to be sold. The red one has been on sale since early October. The fourth Purosangue hit the Limited Spec parking lot this month. It is painted a beautiful blue and has 109 miles (175 km) on it. It’s the most affordable one, with a price tag of $679,980.
Lamborghini Broward hasn’t announced the asking price for its Purosangue, but it’s finished in Rosso Dino livery and has 359 miles (578 kilometers) on the odometer. The dealer will no doubt want to sell it at a higher price than the original MSRP.

Look, we get it—Purosangue is undeniably cool. But spending nearly $700,000 on an SUV seems ridiculous. This price is especially crazy considering that the new 2025 Lamborghini Urus starts at over $240,000. There are also several Ferrari SF90 Stradales priced under $600,000, which are not as practical as the Purosangue but are significantly faster.
Still, the resale market speaks volumes for what this car represents: a shiny, ridiculous, over-the-top status symbol. Honestly, isn’t that what Ferrari does best?
