Volkswagen Golf GTI and Tiguan R-Line India announce

Volkswagen India announced the launch of two cars in the Indian market in the upcoming quarter of 2025 – the iconic Golf GTI and the new Tiguan R-Line.

Currently, the golf GTI sold abroad is powered by a 2.0 TSI turbocharged phenol, which produces 265 hp and 370 nm of torque. Meanwhile, Tiguan R-Line is expected to receive the same 2.0 TSI as Tiguan sold in India at 190 hp and 320 nm. Although not confirmed, the cars are expected to be brought to India via a fully built unit (CBU) route.

Volkswagen India sales YTD Sales volumes increased by 3% on February 25 (V last year).
