Volkswagen Golf GTI India launch, booking details, expectation

The Volkswagen Golf GTI India launch has been confirmed in the second quarter of 2025 (April to June). Despite its official launch just a few months ago, select Volkswagen dealers have begun accepting pre-orders for this performance hatchback. Golf will come to India in a fully imported model, with only 250 units in the first batch. As a CBU unit, the high price of Hot Hatch is around Rs 5.2 lakh (formerly showroom).

Volkswagen Golf GTI- Engine power supply

The main highlight of the Volkswagen Golf GTI is its powerful engine. This model is paired from a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, thus powering the front wheels. This setup provides 265bhp and 370nm of torque power. This performance hatchback can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 5.9 seconds and has a maximum speed of 250kmph.

The electrically controlled front axle differential lock, with progressive steering of variable bogies and pinion gears, and optional adaptive suspension, further enhances its overall performance.

Volkswagen Golf GTI- Internal, functional

The 12.9 touch screen infotainment system has a center stage that includes the Volkswagen’s new software interface and provides better graphics. The unit also supports CHATGPT integrated voice assistance. GTI-specific graphics in the digital instrument cluster, GTI steering and tartan seat interior make it sporty appeal. The feature list also includes dual-zone automatic climate control, front limited-slide differential lock (for better cornering and traction), multiple airbags, ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), panoramic sunroof, and more.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI has Volkswagen signature design elements. GTI badges, 18-inch alloy wheels, a two-tone roof spoiler and contrasting red accents emphasize their sporty characteristics. Hot Hatch comes with large LED headlights with adaptive front lighting system and LED taillights.
