– Audi and Volkswagen recalls involved nearly 14,000 Volkswagen ID.4, Audi Q4 Q4 E-Tron and Audi Q4 E-Tron Sportback vehicles due to the cost of 12-volt batteries.
Recalled 2024 Volkswagen ID.4, 2024-2025 Audi Q4 E-Tron and 2024-2025 Audi Q4 E-Tron Sportback vehicles may fail on the onboard charger and stop charging the 12V battery.
If the battery level is battery level, the vehicle will lose driving power and other electronic control functions.
According to Volkswagen:
“In affected vehicles, condensers may be formed inside the integrated DC/DC-Converter (OCDC), causing electrical movement on the printed circuit board (PCB) due to insufficient protective coating throughout the area.”
Once the recall is mailed at the end of April 2025, the dealer will replace the car charger.
Owners can call Audi at 800-893-5298 to Volkswagen at 800-253-2834. Volkswagen’s recall number is 93cj. Audi’s recall number is 93fr.
A few days ago, Audi and Volkswagen recalled the same model with dashboard issues.
