Wald previews Wild Tuning package for Toyota Land Cruiser

The new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is the focus of Wald International’s latest project. The Japanese tuner has released a set of renderings that preview an extensive range of visual modifications combined with either road-focused damping or a raised all-terrain setup.

At the front, Wald’s Land Cruiser Prado (J250) features a custom bumper with intricate air intakes, skid plates and integrated LEDs. It also features large air intakes on the hood, and a dark finish on the grille and headlights.

Wide fender extensions accentuate the body’s profile, covering massive aftermarket wheels and a noticeably wider track. The first model rides on a set of six-spoke wheels wrapped in grippy all-terrain rubber, and a lift kit helps improve ground clearance.

Alternatively, Wald could go for larger-diameter alloy wheels and fit high-performance tires and a lowering kit. This option would limit the Land Cruiser’s off-road potential, but judging by rival SUVs, it certainly has an audience.

Other modifications include an aerodynamic roof extension with additional LEDs and an oversized rear spoiler. The tuner didn’t show a rear view, but we expect a redesigned rear bumper with a diffuser structure replacing the original aluminum skid plate.

It is not clear whether Wald will offer any performance upgrades for the Land Cruiser. Regardless, interested parties can always find ways to increase the power output of their Toyota’s hybrid, gasoline or diesel engine (depending on the market).

While it’s unclear how much the finished product will differ from the rendering, Wald’s interpretation of the Land Cruiser will likely resonate with those who want a striking SUV. According to the teaser on Instagram, the conversion kit will be fully revealed soon.
