  • The Valkyrie is expected to sell for between $2.6 million and $3 million, no more than the suggested retail price.
  • This Valkyrie is delivered brand new in Japan.
  • Contrasting with the Moonlight White paint is a series of bright red accents.

Only 150 examples of the Aston Martin Valkyrie were produced, and like many other high-priced supercars, all examples were quickly counted when the car was first released. Since deliveries began, some of them have entered the second-hand market, and next month RM Sotheby’s will auction one of them in Dubai.

Ordered new by a Japanese customer, this Valkyrie is finished in Moonlight White with various carbon fiber accents and red details, including the brake calipers. The car also features satin black magnesium wheels and there are over £120,000 (approximately $154,000 USD) of options including a carbon engine plenum, Inconel exhaust pipes and a gloss carbon fiber bonnet.

The auction house expects the car to sell for between $2.6 million and $3 million. That means it’s comparable to the $3 million sale price of another Valkyrie sold by RM earlier this year. Interestingly, the Valkyrie starts at around $3 million, so despite being rare and desirable, it doesn’t seem to appreciate in value like some other supercars.

Inside, Aston Martin’s seats are finished in solid black Deboss Alcantara, while the roof features Rock Satin carbon fiber inserts. It also features a six-point racing harness and red anodized switchgear. A check of the odometer revealed that the car had only been driven 109 kilometers (67 miles) since delivery.

Driving the Valkyrie is one of the finest naturally aspirated engines produced in recent years. The 6.5-liter V12 engine, built by Cosworth, produces 1,000 horsepower and revs to 11,100 rpm. Then add a 140-horsepower electric motor and a small battery pack from Rimac.
