What’s new on this hatchback

Renault Kwid is a very popular small family hatchback in the Indian market. Renault Kwid was first launched in India in 2015. Over the years, Kwid has undergone a series of updates including a major facelift in 2019. Recently, the French carmaker launched the upgraded new 2022 Renault Kwid in India. We have mentioned here what is new in this hatchback.

New appearance update:

The top-of-the-line Climber version of the new 2022 Renault Kwid has received a host of cosmetic updates. For example, it comes in two new dual-tone colours, namely Metallic Mustard and Icy White, both with gloss black roof. They are also available in single colours of Moonlight Silver and Zanskar Blue. The Kwid Mountaineer Edition also comes with new dual-tone flex wheels.

New variants in the lineup:

Renault has launched a new RXL (O) variant in the Kwid range. It is positioned It slots between the base RXL and the mid-level RXT. In addition, compared to the base RXL, the new RXL (O) model features new door appliques, new wheel covers, grey fabric upholstery, front power windows, a single-DIN stereo system and LED taillights.

Engine options:

The new Renault Kwid is available in two engine options. It comes with an 800cc engine that 54 hp and 72 Nm. The company also offers a 1.0-litre petrol engine that outputs 68 hp of power and 91 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only, while the 1.0-litre model also gets an optional 5-speed AMT on some variants.
