Leaders near and far have proposed a wide range of solutions to the problem. For example, outgoing US President Joe Biden traveled in a custom Cadillac limousine dubbed “The Beast”, while Boris Johnson represented the UK in a Jaguar XJ.

However, neither car meets our concerns for a new car.

Still, we love taking on a challenge here car expertthe following are the new cars selected by the editorial team as the highest level VIP.

Huang Zhan: Bentley Flying Spur

While Aston Martins may be my favorite ultra-luxury cars, they’re still designed to be driven – and I’m happy to yes Driving a Bentley.

The new 2025 Bentley Flying Spur is the world leader’s first choice, but is even greener, as its V8 plug-in hybrid drivetrain offers up to 76 kilometers of electric driving range on the WLTP cycle.

Even better, if you’re in a hurry or encounter danger, its system outputs of 575kW and 1000Nm can get you away quickly.

Matt Buchanan: Rolls-Royce Stern

OK If I were President, I would be tempted to adopt a sedan chair as my favorite mode of transportation, slowly carried high up a path paved with rose petals by six loyal bearers with soft bottoms and wide beams. The next banquet, the next gigantic throne installation, the next monotonous whipping of mean peasants.

But maybe this is more regal than presidential, and it has to do with cars.

So maybe I’ll jump into the back seat of a Bugatti Royale (1927-1933): a 21-foot gleaming Art Deco that’s elegant and commanding, its high-mounted grille, running boards, and elegant hood accentuating its ornate appeal and belies its charm. The large 12.7-liter inline eight-cylinder engine is one of the largest car engines ever built.

Originally designed for use in aircraft, the engine produced a strong 300 horsepower, an impressive feat for the time, and despite its stately appearance, this three-ton beast could reach speeds of 160 kilometers per hour. /Hour.

Yes, yes, that’s all well and good, you say, but this column is about which car you would choose today.

Glad you asked. For me, I’d go with a modern equivalent, the only car that can match the prestige, power and absolutely insane charm of a Bugatti Royale: the Rolls-Royce Stern (don’t laugh).

It was an extremely limited production car, with only three produced (Jay-Z owned one). Like the Royale, there’s a beast lurking in the engine bay, a 414kW/860Nm 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine capable of propelling you to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 250km/h.

And, like the Bugatti Royale, it looks absolutely ridiculous, an odd mix of tradition (full teak trim and elegant lines) and avant-garde: is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is this a, uh… yacht?

Of course, such a dramatic display of wealth may not go over well with public opinion, and may elicit the odd hiss or boo, as well as the odd hail of rotting vegetables. But to be on such a crazy chariot, you’d feel crazy not to give it a try, wouldn’t you? Well?

Josh Nevitt: Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge

I have two key criteria for a presidential car: safety and comfort. Enter the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Rolls-Royce is synonymous with luxury, and the $800,000 Cullinan spares no effort in this regard – the front row is beautiful, but VIP belongs in the back, where you’ll find individual entertainment screens, heated of power-adjustable seats, ventilation and massage functions, and perforated quilted leather upholstery. all with enough Leg room.

The Cullinan doesn’t have the structural integrity of a modern military tank if a crisis occurs, but it does have the mechanical features to get you out of harm’s way quickly.

Top-spec Black Badge models are powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine producing a massive 441kW and 900Nm – catch me if you can!

Unlike some of the other vehicles mentioned here, you’re not limited to asphalt either, as the Cullinan has SUV ground clearance and all-wheel drive. Rest my anxious heart.

William Stopford: Genesis G90 or electrified G80

From a selfish perspective, as a world leader you want to be driven to do things that are comfortable and reflect status. However, you don’t want anything either also Too expensive or ostentatious…well, not if you are leading a democracy and want to continue doing so!

That rules out the likes of a Rolls-Royce, but the good news is that you – or rather, taxpayers – don’t have to shell out Rolls-Royce money to get a luxurious interior.

Genesis’ flagship sedan is the G90, which unfortunately isn’t sold here. It competes with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and is also available in a factory long-wheelbase version that’s available in a special four-seat “VIP” configuration.

The car comes with massaging, heated and ventilated rear seats, while you can also opt for a panoramic sunroof. All G90s come with a twin-turbo V6 engine and air suspension.

The gorgeous G90 has a serious presence all its own, and you might be able to avoid some of the wrath of voters – I mean, after all this is a modern-made car, it’s not a Rolls-Royce or a Bentley or anything, right? ? Just don’t look at that price tag…hey, it still is a lot of Cheaper than a Rolls Royce, guys!

If I want something “greener” than the G90, Genesis recently launched an updated electric G80 with a longer wheelbase, bringing it closer to the G90’s level of luxury. There’s also the eye-catching Cadillac Celestiq, but its Bentley-level price tag would have me torn to shreds in parliament.

Marton Pettendi: Mercedes-AMG G 63

I wanted a Brabus-modified Mercedes-AMG G 63 that looked standard enough to blend in with the cars that now regularly appear on our roads.

But for the extra legroom, luxury, and privacy, it’ll ride on a longer wheelbase and come with all the modern amenities I’m used to, including first-class airline seats that fold flat if I need them, widescreen multimedia All the connection technologies available for the system and of course the black bulletproof windows.

Of course, it will have the highest (B7) level of armored vehicle protection, making it capable of withstanding 7.62 mm NATO shells from half a meter away, as well as all the other features available to protected species in the vehicle, including hydraulic rams, ram cameras, and gas and Radiation detection.

The tuned twin-turbocharged V8 will provide enough performance to outpace most pursuers, while the G-Wagen’s standard off-road capabilities will ensure I reach my well-stocked underground military bunker well ahead of them.

Max Davies: BMW i7 Protection

I don’t think anyone can argue that BMW doesn’t offer some level of upscale style, even if their recent design choices are…interesting.

For a company known for its sporting pedigree, the 7 Series (especially the i7) is an impressive departure from the sporty cars BMW is known for.

If I were a world leader, the aura of BMW’s flagship sedan would be exactly what I’d be looking for. I’ve never driven a super expensive Rolls Royce or Bentley, and even if I had all the money in the world, I couldn’t imagine being in the back seat of one.

So the i7, especially the special-order Protector variant, takes a lot from the top-spec M70 xDrive. The regular M70 xDrive comes with executive lounge seats with ventilation and massage functions for the rear seats, but the protection features are taken to the next level.

Its body is made of armored steel, and BMW also added underbody protection and armored glass. Even better, its tires can keep you going at speeds of up to 80 km/h when flat.

In BMW’s own words, i7 Protection provides at-risk groups with “tailor-made protection against attack by firearms or explosives” – perfect!

There may be roomier, more luxurious cars available, but I feel like the i7 has a sense of niche exclusivity – especially reinforced by the fact that no one else here is picking one up.

The rear seat is naturally where I spent the most time, and I’m sure some arrangements could be made to free up some extra space for the recline function. Even better, I can rest easy knowing that my driver is well protected thanks to that amazing presentation in the front.

The Protection has lower rated outputs than the regular i7 at 400kW and 745Nm, and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 8.1 seconds without spilling your drink. Hopefully its price won’t shock MPs too much.

Can I introduce the Cadillac Celestiq.

At nearly 5.4 meters long, it feels important but not as simple and crude as “The Beast.”

There are plenty of screens inside to handle business and entertainment while rushing from different activities, reading to school kids or making empty promises.

If you need to get away quickly, its dual-motor powertrain sends 447kW and 868Nm to all four wheels, with a range of nearly 500km on a single charge – more than enough for any activity that doesn’t require a plane trip.

Sure, it’s electric and the public doesn’t like that, but they’ll have a bigger problem with the price having to be offset by taxes.
